OBSC1 COVID Key Info | May 28, 2020

Beach Status:

In accordance with Executive Order No. 143, signed by Governor Murphy on 5/14/20, our beach will be open for the summer 2020 season with safety measures in place, including, but not limited to:

  • Requiring that members of the public practice social distancing

  • Implementing sanitization protocols

  • Developing and implementing lifeguard training and beach operation plans that address COVID-19 considerations

  • Planning for capacity restrictions, should they become necessary

For additional information and the latest state guidance, please refer to: https://www.nj.gov/governor/news/news/562020/20200514b.shtml. (Please note that our playground must stay closed under this current order.)

Key information will be posted at beach access points and other areas to make members, renters and guests aware of the rules in place at the time of beach opening. We will make this document available on our website for printing and posting in your homes as well. As we expect guidance to change over the summer, the form will be updated and re-posted when necessary.
**Reminder that our beach officially opens on Saturday, June 20, 2020. There will be no lifeguards on duty until that date**

Please note that we will be selling our world-famous OBSC1 clothing again this year at the beach! Transactions will be via credit card only - no cash will be accepted. Stay tuned to our social media channels and listen to beach announcements for dates/times when clothing will be available for sale.
