OBSC1 Paving Progress and Other Reminders
OBSC1 Members: We thought it would be a good idea to share another update today and provide you all with the latest information we have and share some important reminders.
Paving Schedule
As you can all tell, the project is taking longer than we were told it would, but the Contractor is doing an excellent job and they are very attentive to detail. There are a number of reasons for the delays, all of which are outside of our control. On a positive note, we have a better update on the planned schedule of construction; of course, timing is subject to change but below is the planned timeline of activities as of now. We've also attached some pics of the progress for those of you unable to be down - click the street names with hyperlinks to access. Special thanks to Jane Mosenthine for sending pics of E Shore and E Surf along this morning; the rest are from end of day today.

Thus, W Barnegat would be closed from Friday, 5/28 through Saturday, 5/29 morning. Yes, we know it is Memorial Day weekend and this is not ideal but we are unable to delay the scheduleWE ARE WORKING TO CANCEL ALL TRASH COLLECTION THE ENTIRE WEEK OF 5/24 to ensure the heavy trucks do not damage our newly paved roads. We will provide an update on this as soon as we know moreWe had somewhat better performance today with staying off the newly paved surfaces, but some folks insisted on driving up the streets into their driveways despite signage and our continued pleas. Thanks to the many of you who are cooperating with this request.
